Open the downloaded .dmg file and drag Quiddy to your Applications folder. First launch may require right-click → Open to bypass Gatekeeper on first run.
Open Settings → API Providers and add your key from Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI. Keys are stored in the macOS Keychain — never in plain text. Or use Floodgate if on Apple internal network.
The guided wizard asks your name, what you work on, and helps you pick a starting persona. Your context is injected into every conversation from that moment forward.
Initial public release of Quiddy. Full local-first AI assistant with SEEK persona model, SPECS behavioral controls, Knowledge Vault, persistent memory, and metrics logging.
Beta release for internal testing. Core SEEK/SPECS engine, local Swift server, basic chat and vault functionality.
Quiddy is currently Mac-only. Windows and iOS/iPadOS are on the roadmap for 2026.
